Reminder: Prudential Orders Medical Requirements for Most Term Cases

10-13-2020

Effective September 28, 2020, APPS and ExamOne implemented guidelines that restrict firms from ordering exam requirements billed to the Prudential account for term cases ages 18-60, and up to $3M in face amount.

Prudential handles the ordering medical requirements for term cases with face amounts of $3M and below and ages 18 – 60 in order to maximize the number of cases that are assessed through PruFast Track.
PruFast Track provides a faster, more convenient underwriting experience for eligible applicants.  (In case you missed it, the PruFast Track maximum face amount has been permanently increased to $3 million.)

What does this mean for this segment of cases?

  • Prudential orders all requirements (even if the agent report or cover sheet indicates otherwise)
  • Exam/ APS orders for Fast Track eligible term are not allowed under a Prudential billing account with APPS and ExamOne
  • If requirements are provided with the application, please contact the Prudential case management team to have Prudential's order cancelled.

For term applications requesting coverage amounts above $3 million, or for proposed insureds over the age of 60 or under 18, the BGA/Producer may order medical requirements, or Prudential is available to order requirements as well. Please indicate the ordering preference on the agents report.
