Securian: eApp upgrade going live October 30

Securian Financial will be upgrading their life insurance eApp at the end of the month to offer client collaboration. Starting on October 30, 2021, eApp will have the option for clients to complete parts of the eApp, including their underwriting questionnaire (part 2), allowing them to answer medical questions without having to go through a tele-interview.1

Here’s what you need to know:

  1. Instances where client collaboration won’t be available:
    • SecureCare Universal Life (UL)
    • Applications taken in New York or for New York products
    • Drop Ticket
    • If the proposed insured and owner on the application are different
  2. Any eApp that is not submitted by October 30, 2021, will require additional action before submitting. To avoid impact, we recommend collecting eSignatures and submitting eApps to Securian Financial by October 29, 2021.
  3. Securian Financial will also be making upgrades to Drop Ticket on October 30, 2021, resulting in Drop Ticket being available for all states except New York. Any Drop Ticket application that isn’t submitted by October 30, 2021, will require additional action before submitting. To avoid impact, we recommend collecting eSignatures and submitting Drop Ticket applications to Securian Financial by October 29, 2021.
