Principal Extended grace periods during COVID-19
During these challenging times, Principal is extending individual life and disability insurance policy grace periods for an additional 60 days. All premiums due must be received before the end of the extended grace period to retain insurance coverage.
They’ll be updating language on billing statements and pending lapse letters to keep customers informed. While we encourage policyholders to continue to make payments on their insurance policies, customers can call Principal at 800-247-9988 to discuss options.
