Anthem Key Account (51-99) billing support changes

In order to better serve you and your clients, Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield is making a change to the billing support you and your clients receive for Key Account (51-99) employer groups. Effective on the June 1, 2016 billing cycle, your clients will now be handled by our Small Group call center versus a dedicated billing representative. This change will apply to all lines of coverage with Anthem. With this change come many advantages including longer hours of operations and a larger staff to handle all your inquiries. In addition, we will be utilizing a new 800# as well as a new email mailbox for inquiries.

  • Billing statements will be updated with new toll-free phone number: 1-888-290-9159.

  • Call center hours of operations are 8:00 am to 6:00 pm Eastern Time.

  • The new mailbox for group and broker email inquiries is cre&bsmallgroup@anthem.com".
