Health Care Reform Updates
On March 23, 2010, President Obama signed into law the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act, and a week later, signed into law the Health Care and Education Reconciliation Act of 2010, which made some changes to the comprehensive health reform law.
These laws are both comprehensive and complex and we all need to take time to understand and interpret what precisely they mean for our industry. We are working diligently to fully evaluate the law, as well as further articulate our strategy. There are varying effective dates for the components of the law, which provides us time to position our business for post-reform success.
