(CA) Policyholders to be Notified of ILTC1 Rate Increase
Prudential Long-Term Care (LTC) had previously communicated the intent to file for a premium rate increase on the first generation "ILTC1" long-term care insurance policies with the appropriate state insurance regulators. At that time, we provided you with background information, a producer toolkit and sample policyholder communications. For your convenience, the most recent versions of these documents are attached below. Please be aware that as we conclude the filing process with the states, we are preparing to send out first notice letters to policyholders in the state of California. Please note that this increase only applies to ILTC1 policies issued in California prior to July 1, 2002. Click below to see the full communication and attachments.

(KY) Eligible Policyholders to Receive Partnership Notification
As previously communicated, Prudential is pleased to offer a qualified Long-Term Care insurance National Partnership product in the state of Kentucky. Prudential is required, under state insurance regulations, to offer to all policyholders in Kentucky, who purchased long-term care insurance since January 16, 2003, and whose policies do not meet National Partnership requirements, the option to exchange their existing policy for one that qualifies under the state’s LTC Partnership Program. (LA) Eligible Policyholders to Receive Partnership Notification
As previously communicated, Prudential is pleased to offer a qualified Long-Term Care insurance National Partnership product in the state of Louisiana. We are now pleased to announce that we have automatically granted National Partnership status to Louisiana policies that meet the state’s inflation requirements have been issued on or after the date Louisiana approved its Long-Term Care Insurance Partnership Program. This date, also known as the Medicaid State Plan Amendment date, is October 1, 2009. A letter and a disclosure notice will be sent to eligible policyholders on or about Friday, July 30, 2010, notifying them of this good news. (SC) Suitability Forms Have Been Updated
Prudential Long-Term Care has recently updated the suitability forms in the application booklets for the state of South Carolina following the state’s adoption of new regulations. The application booklets for LTC3SM and LTC EvolutionSM now include the following forms that are available for order through the usual process. Please begin using these new forms immediately. The deadline for submitting applications using the previous forms is Monday, August 2, 2010. Click below to see the full communication.
