Refer to these important dates regarding pending Lincoln OptiPoint® 12 annuity business.
• There will be no Lincoln OptiPoint® 12 contracts issued after May 22, 2010.
• Deadlines for applications are as follows:
- Cash with application: May 1, 2010
- Applications accompanied by the ACORD 951 transfer paperwork:
April 1, 2010 (as previously announced)
Any application received after the above dates will be returned.
• All paperwork must be in good order and funds received no later than
4:00 p.m. ET on Friday, May 21, 2010.
For any cases not ready to issue on May 22, 2010, Lincoln will deem the case "Not in Good Order" and a call will be made to the agent. The client will have the option to change the product type or the business will be returned. Any change to the product type will require a revised application and disclosure statement, and must be initialed and dated by the client. Any applicable rate hold will not be extended.
Unfortunately, no exceptions can be considered due to the nature of this legislation.
