Time can be on your side! When submitting a Genworth Life application, make sure that it's 'clean' and fully completely! This will make all the difference in the world when it comes to underwriting!
To help make the underwriting process go smoother, Genworth has provided a checklist for you to make sure that your application is 'In Good Order'. The checklist points out all 11 sections that needed to be fully completed by the client.
Most often missed sections:
1. Section 3: Beneficiary Information. Please make sure the full name, relationship, percentage of share, and Social Security number.
2. Section 9: Personal or Business. Either question needs to be completed. If Personal insurance, the Gross Annual Income, Total Assets, and Total Liabilities all need to be filled in. Don't forget to answer the Bankruptcy question!
3. Section 10: Existing Insurance. If the PI has no existing insurance, answer question #a NO and move to section 11. If the PI does have existing insurance, please make sure all the existing policy information is listed. This includes: Full Name of Existing Company, Amount, Year Issued, Beneficiary, and if it is to be Replaced.
**Please make sure you are submitting the correct replacement forms for your state.
4. Section 11: Personal Insured's History. This section will determine if any additional supplements may be required for underwriting. For example, if questions #g, h, and i are answered YES, you will need to have either the Aviation, or Activities, or Foreign Residence/Travel Questionnaires completed. Please make any comments in the Remarks section.
5. Please make sure all signatures are included if the Owner is different from the PI. Please make sure all dates on the Application, TIAA, and Check match.
The Agent's report is just as important as the application. All questions must be answered by you! Please make sure that you are contracted and appointed with Genworth in the state of delivery. If you are not sure, please contact Tina Palmeri for assistance.
