Agent Appointment State Restrictions

In order to solicit business with a carrier, you must be aware of what carriers require you to be contracted and appointed in that state prior to writing the business.

If you write business without checking to see if a state is a pre-appointment state with a certain carrier, your application will be rejected.

In the resource section to the right there is a link that will give you the carrier name and what states are pre-appointment. Some have an attached form that states the restriction guidelines.

Please follow this in order to ensure that your future business is not rejected due pre-appointment guidelines not being followed prior to solicitation.
