MetLife offers a popular table Shaving Program to help your producers generate sales with clients who have mild medical impairments. It’s one more way we’re working hard to earn your business.
What is Table Shaving?
Table Shaving is an underwriting program that enables an applicant who would be rated Table B or C for medical reasons to receive a Standard rating.
MetLife can shave a Table B or C rating to Standard up to a maximum face amount of $5 million on a permanent product. This program also allows medical flat extras of $5 to be shaved for up to five years. All medical impairments except drug or alcohol abuse are eligible for Table Shaving.
And, unlike many insurers, MetLife has made BOTH lives on a survivorship life case eligible for Table Shaving.
Eligible Products
Table Shaving is available for all UL and VUL products except COLI and MetLife of Connecticut products.
