LBL Announces Changes to Savers Index Annuity Products in Texas

Changes to Savers Index Annuity
Products in Texas

Effective June 1, 2010, Lincoln Benefit Life Company will be implementing changes to Savers Index Annuity (SIA) and SIA Premier in Texas to comply with recent legislation.

Savers Index Annuity
LBL will be discontinuing SIA in Texas effective June 1, 2010. New business applications and funds must be received in the home office in good order by May 25, 2010.

New 1035 exchange requests must be received in good order on or before April 30, 2010.

Calls will be made on all pending cases with the option to change the product type or choose to have the business returned. 1035 exchange cases that are still pending on May 20, 2010 will be cancelled unless a product change is made. A change to the product type will require a new application and any applicable new business forms.

Savers Index Annuity Premier
For SIA Premier contracts issued in Texas on or after June 1, 2010, a new surrender schedule (10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1) and credit enhancement (1%) will apply.
